Ritual Detroit

In 1985 Ritual Detroit rose from the ashes of a company called Clutch Cargos. Clutch Cargos founders Vince Bannon and Amir Daiza, god rest their souls, started the company with a vision of bringing all the bands that rival Detroit concert promoters were too lame to know about. On New Years Eve, 1981 Clutch Cargos produced it’s first concert with a New Wave/ Post Punk era band from New York called the Bush Tetras.

Ritual has continued to be the concert promotion company for the developing artist. From the first Detroit concerts with Jane’s Addiction, Nirvana and The Pixies to today and tomorrow’s emerging artists. Ritual is a company that is built with people who started at the ground level and worked their way up. Most employees started by handing out fliers, loading band’s gear into the venues or bartending at the clubs. Although many of the venues have closed or been renamed and radio station formats have flipped, one thing has never changed. Ritual has remained true to artist development and is committed to bringing quality concerts to Detroit!
